You know you are getting older when...

It is Friday night. It is only 9:00 p.m. You daughter is asleep. Your hubby is asleep. You have the remote control. But you start to think that you may go to sleep :-)

How is that for an exciting start to a weekend?

There is a lot going on this week-end, so I guess this is a good sign that maybe, just maybe we will have some energy for it all.

I do have a question for you ladies......Do any of you notice any behavioral changes when you have your kids on antibiotics? Emma has been on hers for 8 days know and I would almost swear that the devil has taken possession of her little body. If one little things sets her off or strikes her the wrong way, she is a screaming, kicking, hitting, contrary little mess. That said, I will say that even though this morning was almost enough to send me to the corner store on the way to work, she was a sweetheart this evening. After being so frustrated with her for the last few days, it just made me fall in love with her all over again.

Michael is terribly fragile and grouchy when he is sick and/or on antibiotics. Poor fella is sick so much that we are thrilled when he has a good day, he is so fun on those days! Sorry that Emma has the same issue - I guess when they feel bad they are grouchy - hopefully we can teach them to handle it better before they are teenagers!!!

I hope the rest of your weekend is nice and relaxing.

After reading this I am certainly not looking forward to any antibiotics in Jackson's future. ;) I hope she's feeling better soon and you can all get some relief.

I would bet it upsets her little tummy, which makes her a bit uneasy? Just a thought, I know anitbiotics don't do great with my body, but I deal with it. At that age, you don't just deal with it, it comes out in different ways.

Hope she continues to get better soon. Have a great week.

ABSOULTELY, in fact, I ask all parents of preschoolers to avoid the antibiotics until after class. It's amazing how much drugs can effect kids. I can tell during allergy seasons who is FOR SURE taking meds. It doesn't effect EVERY KID, but it sure does effect mine and alot of kids I've seen. Hopefully, your sweet, little Emma will return soon. If you need an exorcism, give Matt a buzz =).
