Have you ever had one of these mornings?
I got up late (nothing unusual there), got my shower, discovered that since I hadn't finished the load of laundry last night my pants were still in the washing machine, so I switched out the laundry so I would have nice clean, dry pants to wear to work. Went to get something to eat, but Emma showed up so I got busy with her and decided to go dry my hair. Got the blow dryer out, plugged it in, turned it on.............and nothing! I turned it off and turned it on again.........nothing! I hit the reset button...............nothing! I started trying different outlets...........nothing! I started banging it on the counter...................nothing! So hear I am...............wearing my shirt for work (but no pants)..........my hair is wet and I sort of start to freak out. I still have to get Emma ready, get her bag packed, keep her occupied while I get ready and my pants are still wet along with my hair. Now I wish I had a head of hair that I could just let air dry, but I do not. It looks really, really bad if I just let it go. So Steven calls his mother and I start packing up my toiletries and get Emma's bag ready, and get her clothes packed up (I decided that she can get dressed at Grandma's house) and I start to pick everything up to go get in the car when I realize that I DON'T HAVE ANY PANTS ON!!!!! So what is a frazzled mommy to do.............her pants for work are in the dryer, she hasn't done any laundry for a few days............................she goes in the laundry room and picks up a pair of jeans and puts them on, grabs her wet pants out of the dryer and heads off to Grandma's house.
Now long story short.............we got to Grandma's in the pouring rain, so I got all wet, but that was okay, because my head was already wet............put my pants in the dryer........left Grandma to entertain my daughter still in her PJ's and her bed head..............used her ancient blow dryer to dry my hair (which worked great!)........ironed my now dry and toasty pants and Emma's dress.............got Emma's hair looking presentable only to have her tell me that she no longer wanted to wear that particular dress. So I left for work and left her there still in her PJ's, but her hair looked great. I wonder if she will be dressed when I go to pick her up this afternoon? You know - I really don't care :-)
Oh yeah..........I never did get to eat anything!

I tried not to laugh at you forgetting your pants, but I couldn't. I hope you made it ok the rest of the day.
I have had more of those types of mornings than I wish...but the days always seem to even out and at the end of the day you wonder what you were so frazzled about...most of the time.
Hope you have a great week.
Have I had one of those mornings? ONE of those mornings? I've had too many to count! LOL! At least you can laugh about it! :)
GIRL, I feel like every morning is like that around our pad. There are mornings I feel like the Grinch with all the NOISE, NOISE, NOISE. Glad you didn't lose your mind so we can continue enjoying your blog.
