My cute little "Joseph"
Emma and I were very blessed last week to be able to attend the VBS at Alvaton Church of Christ. Their theme was "From Thrown to Throne" about Joseph. Let me tell you - they really know how to put on a VBS. Emma had a great time.........the first night when we pulled in she informed me that we were at the "party church". Cracked me up! After that she called it the "puppet church". She just LOVED the puppets each night. I work with one of the ladies that coordinates a lot of the activities for their VBS and she took these pictures of Emma. THANKS GENEVA!!! Unfortunately, since Miss Emma got sick we were unable to attend the last night so we missed the ending. Luckily we were there on Wednesday night when all the little ones dressed up in their coat of many colors. Emma was very proud of her "coat" as she called it and didn't want to take it off at the end of the evening. The kids were able to decorate them themselves with all the little colored shapes. They had little ropes for belts and colored bead necklaces to wear. It was adorable to see all the kids march into the auditorium dressed up with smiles on their faces.
We don't attend Alvaton, but we know a lot of people that do. There were also a lot of old friends that came out there for VBS that week. I was able to spend a lot of time with my best friend Jody and her kids (BTW - Jody has a blog now so you need to visit her over there). Tiffany and her family came out and I was able to visit with her a bit. Lee and Ashley were there with their beautiful girls and sweet baby Will. I was so happy to see all of them, but was especially happy to meet Will. He is adorable!!!!! There just are not words to describe how happy I am for their family that Will came home.
It was an exhausting week last week, but a good one - well, it didn't end so great, but it started out good :-) I took Emma back to school today and I hope that all goes well there. She is feeling much better and her fever is finally staying down, but she still is not eating or drinking well. Thank you for all your prayers on her behalf!

Glad to hear she is feeling somewhat better. I love her coat of many colors. She's darling. We will have to check out Alvaton's VBS next year.
I wish we could've been there for the week. I'm looking forward to GP's VBS.
It was so great to see you, too! That was a great night of VBS activities, and Hannah has loved dressing up in her costume at home as well. Not quite sure that Joseph put stickers on his face, but Hannah sure loves doing it. Maybe our paths will cross more this year; hoping so!
I'll be praying for sweet Emma. I know exactly how you feel, my kiddos are sick right now and it just makes my heart ache to know they don't feel good.
I so enjoyed that week together too my friend. I'm glad Emmaline is feeling better.
I love her coat of many colors!!
