Busy, Busy, Busy
I feel like we have constantly been on the go. But .......we have been able to do it as a family. Well most of it anyway :-) We did help our friends Kevin and Terri move into their new home Saturday and since we didn't want Miss Emmaline getting in the way we took her to Grandma's house to play. While we were at the new house unloading, Lee showed up with his three and I was able to love on baby Will for a while. Saturday was the 20th day since they got him, so...........it is official! He is theirs! Terri had Allison and Garrett with her and if I had known, I probably would have let Emma come along. Allison wasn't too happy with me at first - she wanted to know where Emma was.
We went to a great Greek restaurant, Anna's, for an early dinner and I ate way too much. Our server was Greek and from New York City so we had a great time talking to her while we ate the dishes that she recommended. Emma ended up falling asleep on my lap while we ate, so we loaded her in the car and headed off to the mall where we loaded her in the stroller. We stayed and shopped until the mall closed and she slept the entire time. It was wonderful!
Sunday we went to a congregation located downtown that was celebrating their 78th Anniversary. A lot of people showed up to help them celebrate. It was good to see a lot of old friends. We enjoyed visiting with quiet a few people. Afterwards, there was a luncheon and we went and ate and visited some more while I took a bunch of pictures for them. It was a good day! It got even better when we got home and I managed to convince Emma to take her first nap in THREE days! I put my own head down on the pillow and I was out! We had church that evening and then we went to visit Steven's sister and her husband.
So after all of that, I realized one thing..............even though I got nothing done this weekend...........it didn't go anywhere. It is all still sitting there waiting for me. But that is okay. I think I may have made peace with my piles of laundry, my dishwasher that needs to be empty and my clutter on the dining room table. None of that 'stuff' will hug me at the end of the day and tell me it loves me after having spent the day with it ;-)

Oh, what great perspective! I love that last line. I might write that down and put it where I'll see it often!
And when you do get all that cleaning done, it just shows right back up dirty. So I'm glad you were able to enjoy your weekend. I hope you took a little nap for me. I could use one.
