Hello 2009!!!

Has there ever been a year you were just ready to see end with a hope that the next year HAS to be better?? That was 2008! We had a lot of fun and made some awesome memories, but it was just a very sad year for our little family. I am hopeful that 2009 will bring lots of new memories and a LOT of happiness and joy!

I would love to tell you about the awesome party we went to to bring in the new year, but we didn't go to one. After me being sick, the hectic holidays, Emmaline being sick, we just decided that we really didn't want to go anywhere but home. In fact, I was so wore out, I fell asleep on the couch by 8:30. How pathetic is that :-) Yesterday, the first day of the new year, I decided that I still didn't want to leave my house. But I also did not want to do dishes, cook, or worry about laundry. So I didn't. I played with my daughter, watched movies with her, spent time talking with my husband and I read a book. An entire book. In. One. Day. It had been years since I have done that. When Steven came and asked me what we were doing for dinner, I contemplated going out, but decided that he could just go and get us some Chinese takeout instead. He did. It was YUM-O!!

So today, I am back among the living. Back to the real world. But I certainly enjoyed my one day off. Playing hooky from life occasionally is a good thing.
