So, We Thought We Could Dance
I would like to say that the above picture is of Steven and I..............but, obviously, it is not.
I would like to post a picture of Steven and I dancing..............but, obviously, I have not.
I mentioned a few weeks ago that we were taking Ballroom dance classes. The class consisted of us, Barry and Jill, Scott and Bethany, Shannon and Susan, and Tristan and Abbey. It was fun to learn something new with a group of people that you already knew and also knew that they would love you no matter how dorky you looked trying to pretend that you had rhythm. I discovered that I apparently left most of my rhythm back in my 20's.
My big plan was to take my camera to the last class and take lots of pictures. Our last class was last night. Or I guess I should say, it was supposed to be last night. But our instructor, scheduled her new class to start last night at the same time our class was supposed to be. Needless to say, it was not a pretty sight. The end result is we will not be getting a last class, but will be receiving a refund for the one hour and 15 minutes that we were not instructed.
I have to say though, that even with all the drama that took place with our instructor, I had fun. I would have liked to learn more.................I feel like I was given all the dance steps with no instruction on how to put them all together.............oh, yeah..........that is what happened. We had thought about taking the next set of classes, but we are going to have to find a new instructor first. So I guess for now, we will just continue to practise the steps we have learned and one day we will figure out how to put some of them together.
So............5, 6............5, 6, 7, 8..............................and remember, if you are doing the cha-cha, it starts on 2 :-)

"We're never gonna dance again...but that instructors got our money...though it's easy to pretend...she played us all for fools". :-)
But hey...it was a great 7 weeks...made lots of good memories...made a few bad memories...wore the "o"...learned the steps...and the best part, we didn't get thrown in the pokey last night! :-)
Love ya and doll, don't worry, I'll find us someone else to teach us how to boogie! And she'll get no referrals from me!
