Punkin' Face
Emma is in love.............with her punkin.
Last week at school, they painted pumpkins.
She even gave him ears!!
She is ever so proud of her punkin'!
I just love this picture!!!
In other news.....the day after I took these pictures (Wednesday), Emma started getting sick (Thursday). Since she has a long history of sinus infections and ear infections and she had a very croupy sounding cough and had been pulling at her ear, I went ahead and took her to the doctor. He says it is only her allergies. Her chest was clear, her ears were clear but her nose was a little swollen from the drainage. As for the croupy cough - that was a by-product of the drainage. I was like "So in other words, I just spent $75 to bring her to see you, so you could tell me that she has allergies that I already knew she had?" To which he replies, "Pretty much, yes." Now, I know I am not a doctor, but that was 4 days ago and the poor baby is still sick!!! Saturday was horrible!!! She coughed constantly and so much that at times she would start to choke. She kept trying to go to sleep but would again start to cough and wake herself up. She has had allergies since she was born - but never like this!!! She was feeling much better yesterday morning so I went ahead and took her to church, but by mid-afternoon, she was miserable again. She did go to school today, but she sound awful. I keep waiting for the phone call telling me I have to come get her. I may be wrong - but the mommy in me says that this is not her allergies!
Also...tomorrow my dad is having surgery. Please say a prayer for him and for the doctors as they are taking care of him. Thanks!!!!!!

Sending Emma hugs now. Hope she gets to feeling better. Allergies and sinuses ARE awful!
Keep up posted about your dad!!
Allergies are so horrible especially when you can not get immediate relief. Hope she is feeling better soon and I hope your dad's surgery goes well.
Love it! She is too adorable. Garrett was just given the allergy verdict Mon. He sounds horrible, but they say its allergies. Only time will tell. Thinking of Emma.
Love that pumpkin. She's quite an artist! I'm sorry she has the allergy bug. Kentucky is KNOWN for it. If it makes you feel any better, all my kids have had runny noses and awful coughs for the past couple weeks. It just comes and goes this time of the year. Get well soon sweet Emma.
Her pumpkin is adorable. I hope she starts to feel better soon. Maybe it started out as allergies, but now it is more? Trust your motherly instinct! Prayers for your dad and his sugery.
