First Haircut

I took Emma for her first haircut yesterday evening. I was very fortunate that Emma never really lost her hair when she was a baby (except where she rubbed it off in the back during long road trips while riding in her infant carrier). But, as her hair has grown it had gotten very uneven and somewhat wild looking! So I took her to see Kendra who just happens to be her sitters twin sister. Since Emma loves Kendra, I was hoping she would do well. I was not disappointed - she did great!

This chair is pretty cool!
Okay, I am having fun in this chair and all - but what is she doing with that comb and those scissors?
Kendra begins with a little combing...
then a little cutting! (Doesn't Emma look like a big girl sitting there? *sniff, sniff*)
Oh, my goodness! What have you done to me!???
Emma with Kendra after she was doneThis was this morning after she let me fix her hair. It really doesn't look all that different, but she did cut 1/2 inch from the sides and almost and inch from the back. I think she looks pretty cute myself - but I may be a bit prejudice!

She does look like a big girl sitting there in that chair all still. I L-O-V-E the picture where she looks shocked. That is a hoot! I am glad you didn't cut too much off and that you can hardly notice it's been cut. She's a cutie!!
