Tap Tap Tap

Emmaline wanted to continue taking dance classes so we have begun our second year of classes. This year she is focusing on tap, but there is still some ballet included. Ms. Martha is her instructor this year. She owns the studio and has been dancing for years. She is so incredible with the little ones :-) Coincidentally, her daughter in law is one of Emmaline's teachers at school.

Emmaline tries her best to do exactly what Ms. Martha does.

Listening intently to Ms. Martha's instructions. She tried to do what she was supposed to....but I have to admit....she didn't do a real good job of it. It was amusing to watch though!

Time for a little ballet...

As Ms. Martha read a story book, each girl did the required movements.

Emmaline and her Daddy came over to my work the day we were having our big Fall Festival. She wanted her face painted, so her daddy got her face painted. They came to show me and once I got over the shock and started taking pictures I said something about her being a kitty....

...she informed me she was a puppy dog. Aarf!!!

Yippeeee!!!

Okay....I have given up trying to get caught up. Just when I think I am close, I get busy and get behind again.

Not much has been really going on in our family. We have had a kinda low key summer.

There is some big news in our family though.....I am going to be an aunt again. My SIL is due on Thanksgiving Day. What an awesome blessing that will be added into the family during a season of Thanksgiving!

In other news, I have a cousin getting married in March and we are going to be able to go.....there is one little catch to it.....it is in AUSTRALIA!!! Yep....we are going down under! I have been blessed to be able to go a few times and this will be Steven's second trip, but of course it is Emmaline's first time. I am very nervous traveling for that long and that far with her, but I know that it will be worth it. She is so excited!! We will be leaving a week after her birthday so she tells everyone that she is going to the beach after her birthday. And then she tells them that the beach is on the other side of the world. She is somewhat nervous herself. She understands that there is a lot of water between here and there and she wants to wear her swimsuit in case she falls in (and she does NOT want to fall in).

We also just found out today that Steven has won a trip through his work. They ran a 30 week sales contest and he came in the top 5!!! He has worked very hard and I am SOOOO proud of him. So we are going to the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC!!! I can hardly wait for this one. We are leaving Emmaline with family and we are going to go and sit, read, relax and sleep!!! Only seven weeks till we go! Good thing I had been buying up summer items on clearance for our trip down under :-)
